Servanthood of Song 2
Celebration of American Sacred Music
3:00 p.m. | Sunday, February 23, 2025
The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Spokane
Experienced singers are invited to join the chorus for an extraordinary concert showcasing American sacred music from the 18th century to today. This performance will feature:
- A massed choir and beloved congregational hymns.
- Guest soloists.
- The newly refurbished Aeolian Skinner Pipe Organ, played by organist Scott Rednour.
A limited number of singers will be selected to perform alongside the Chancel Choir of St. John’s Cathedral.
Rehearsal Commitment:
- Attend at least 3 out of 4 Saturday morning rehearsals: February 1, 8, 15, and 22 (9:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.).
- Concert Day: January 23, 1:30 p.m. choir call.
- Approximate concert duration: 90 minutes.
Sheet music will be emailed in mid-January. Singers are expected to familiarize themselves with the repertoire before rehearsals.
Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to be part of a moving celebration of sacred music!
Because of the size of the performance space and other factors, it will be necessary to limit the number of singers participating. You will be informed if your application has been accepted as soon as we can.
